Getting started

How we work with clients

For each client, MVPR selects the PR methods most likely to deliver the goals we agree together. The strategy is deliberately flexible, so we can adapt to the outcomes that matter most to your business.

Our delivery cycle

We combine senior expertise with proprietary technology and proven workflows to deliver consistent results, and we keep improving the work based on what the performance data tells us.

  1. Step 01

    Insight

We gather data and intelligence on your market, your competitors and your audience.

  2. Step 02

    Planning and narrative

We build the content and narrative frameworks, then the strategic plan those insights point to.

  3. Step 03

    Execution

Senior PR professionals work alongside AI-enabled workflows, so more of their time goes on strategy, storytelling and personalisation.

  4. Step 04

    Outcomes

We deliver measurable results aligned to the business objectives we agreed.

  5. Step 05 · Repeat

    Insight, again

We analyse the performance data, refine the approach and begin the cycle again.

Choose your approach

Choose the approach that suits your objectives

Three worked examples, and you are welcome to propose your own. Some of these will overlap. We might target a publication because a competitor is featured in it, and it may also be a publication your ICP reads, or one that ranks highly in AI search.

Approach A

Audience trust

Stakeholder or ICP-driven

Go where the people you sell to already place their trust.

What we do

  • Analyse your customer and stakeholder segments, and identify the media sources and channels they trust.
  • Target the publications with established credibility among that audience, using AI-powered workflows to tailor the messaging and content.
  • Amplify the earned coverage through paid channels on an ABM-like model, so those stakeholders see it and every click is stored as a signal against the deal record in your sales CRM.

How we measure it

ROI on PR spend, by logging the earned-first touchpoint against a deal and attributing PR activity to sales.

Approach B

Share of voice

Competitor-driven

Take the ground your competitors already hold.

What we do

  • Analyse what your competitors are doing with their PR, and use it to inform proactive media engagement and targeting.
  • Target the publications they are featured in, using AI-powered workflows to tailor the messaging and content those titles respond to.
  • Put you toe-to-toe with much larger competitors at affordable rates.

How we measure it

Narrow-scope share of voice. We cut the target list to a small set of titles you want to own and measure your brand mentions against competitors inside it.

Approach C

AI visibility

GEO and AI search-driven

Be in the sources the answer engines quote.

What we do

  • Identify the sources used in AI knowledge bases and in the responses to the prompts that matter to you.
  • Produce a baseline set of recommendations to improve your GEO outside earned media.
  • Target the publications that influence AI responses to industry queries, with content built to appeal to them.

How we measure it

Visibility in AI-generated content on your industry topics, and competitive positioning against benchmarks in AI-sourced information.

Attributing PR to revenue on approach A

01 · PR and advertising

Combine high-trust earned media with low trust but fast and highly trackable channels like outbound email, LinkedIn posts, online adverts and DMs, and measure how earned media improves your other channels' clicks.

02 · Funnel velocity

Review how quickly leads move through the funnel where earned-first content is used, relative to leads where it is not. Sales funnels build trust with prospects from left to right. PR earns more trust than ads or newsletters do, and it shows up in the numbers, even post-MQL.

03 · Trust delta

Compare the click-through rate and the number of leads from earned-first promoted content against paid or owned-first content. A gap in CTR makes it possible to measure the value of earned media when prospects convert.

All three are set out in full in our PR measurement whitepaper, in the chapter on what this means for PR attribution. The funnel model behind them is signal-first GTM.

The tactical toolkit

Tactics, chosen against your objectives

Within each strategic approach we advise on the spread of tactics we believe will reach the goals, based on your objectives, your audience and the approach you choose.

  1. 01

    Proactive media pitching

Reaching out to relevant journalists with creative ideas for stories, interviews, commentary or responses to published articles, based on your areas of expertise.

  2. 02

    Reactive commentary and newsjacking

Crafting reactive commentary on emerging topics and trends driven by industry or economic change, or by inbound journalist requests, as they relate to you and your customers.

  3. 03

    Opinion-focused thought leadership

Articles on your topics of expertise, pitched to industry trades and yours to leverage on your social channels. Topics depend on the output of the narrative and messaging work.

  4. 04

    Event and speaking slot support

Finding and pitching your executives for speaking slots at industry conferences that target enterprise customers.

  5. 05

    Milestone announcements

Drafting and distributing your milestone announcements: new partnerships, hires, product launches, funding rounds, policy collaborations and research findings.

  6. 06

    Social media copywriting

Two LinkedIn or X posts per week, written from PR activity, company updates or industry views.

  7. 07

    Award support

Finding and pitching your executives for the industry awards that build credibility with the audiences you care about.

  8. 08

    Podcasts

Finding and pitching your executives for speaking slots on industry-focused podcasts.

Our technology and team advantage

MVPR uses proprietary technology to enhance traditional PR processes, making the work significantly more efficient. A specialist senior team drawn from top-tier agency and in-house roles at companies such as IBM and Edelman makes sure the output meets our standards.

The reporting side of it is worth seeing on its own: how we measure PR covers the data sources we pipe in and the reports they produce.

  1. 01

    Vector search for journalists

Identifies the journalists statistically most likely to be interested in your story.

  2. 02

    Response-rate data

We hold detailed data on how individual journalists respond and what they prefer.

  3. 03

    Real-time review and approval

You review and approve outreach as it happens. We operate with absolute transparency.

  4. 04

    Newsjacking tools

Surfaces trending stories that sit close to your areas of expertise.

  5. 05

    Journalist requests feed

Lets us answer live media enquiries and push key messages and angles in real time.

  6. 06

    Engagement reporting

Tracks journalist engagement over time, so the data guides the next communications decision.

  7. 07

    Task board and open inbox

You see everything we are doing at all times, and what is waiting on your approval.

The result

This technology-driven approach delivers more value at approximately half the cost of a traditional agency, at the same output quality and a greater intensity.

The six principles we work to

AI-powered, human-crafted

We use AI for speed. Forty years of combined PR expertise is what turns drafts and data into narratives worth publishing.

Radical time savers

Voice notes and custom forms replace long content and messaging calls, so founders and marketers keep their time.

Success-based honesty

Our success fee model means candid feedback every time. If a story needs work, we will say so, and how to improve it.

Pragmatic problem-solving

Your frustrations are not disputed in awkward conversations. They become opportunities for our team and our product.

Data-driven decisions

Real-time journalist data informs 90% of our strategy, rather than a finger in the air and a list of contacts.

Transparent operations

Our software platform gives you full visibility into what we do, so we have no interest in promises we cannot keep.
